Moles

A synth musical about people who are brilliant and fucked up, fucking each other up, brilliantly.

With graduation approaching, drag queen Stevie and their partner Genny become increasingly inseparable from first-year student Maria. She connects with each of them in ways they struggle to connect with each other, and she wants them both. As Maria steers their growing intimacy towards a threesome, the things bringing the couple together become new reasons to be jealous.

Narrated by a cat called Ritalin, Moles is a story of big feelings and firsts that need synth anthems to do them justice.

An extract from Moles was presented as a rehearsed reading at the Corpus Playroom in Cambridge, as part of an LGBTQIA+ showcase in February 2022. The full-length work was subsequently commissioned by the ADC Theatre.
